Confidential Gin History
Confidential is a French distilled gin created by Graf Spirits & Wine, it is produced in the heart of the Segonzac family estate.
The name Confidential refers to the printed design of the bottle representing a photo of the grand-father of one of the two producers, who was a smuggler during his youth in the Bask Country; but it also refers to the fact that this Gin was assembled against the usual run of things inside a historic producing property.
The recipe includes four ingredients: juniper berries, hibiscus, Szechuan pepper and horse-radish roots.

“At first sight her dress is bright. A silvery colour, with mirror reflections. Translucent disc. Brilliant and clear. A colourless colouring material with good viscosity.
Second comes the nose. It is a first nose of good aromatic intensity, pleasant, distinguished and precise. We perceive notes of floral, citrus, yellow flesh fruit, as well as spices and roots. The persistence is good with reflection and intensity. With a little agitation. As time goes by, the 2nd nose is more open with an incredible diversity of scents of citrus fruits, pepper, minty, juniper berries without excess, fennel, wilted rose, pear, candied angelica, hibiscus, fine, almost salty and horseradish.
The mouth has a well defined attack with fat. The mid-palate has body, concentrated. Thereafter we notice the balance is perfect with a persistence of great maturity in ascent. The scents of the nose delight the palate with a dominant freshness, minty, root, fennel, pepper even spicy. We almost have a sensation of fat from fruits with ripe yellow flesh. To finish a straight, subtle and unheated finish.
To conclude, Confidential Gin is an excellent gin where research and mastery pay off. I really liked the style and in particular one sensation touched me a lot of finesse like a Japanese sake that had been polished to 50%. »
